What Happened To Free p&p?
Our regular customers will know that from
day one of trading, we strived not to charge
p&p, to send out orders within 24 hours and
to beat the Recommended Retail Prices wherever
possible.
We're very proud of our efforts to do just
that, but unfortunately we've had to yield
to the force of the post office.
Within the last twelve months (of updating
this text) the cost of sending out a single
nail polish has in our opinion soared. The
Royal Mail firstly decided to redesignate what
it
deemed to be letters, packages and parcels,
penalising anyone using a padded envelope!
In so doing they increased their standard rates,
and plan to increase yet again in April 2007,
effectively slaughtering any built in margins
we had.
We had three choices:
- Put up our prices - and we didn't want
to...
- Cease trading - and we really didn't want
to...
- Add a realistic p&p charge to offset
the Royal Mail charges.
We think you agree that £1.50 is
still very reasonable. Check your package
when it arrives. You'll see we've probably
paid more in postage than we've asked you to
contribute, and we're very proud to compare
our prices with our competitors (who charge
more p&p, have higher prices and take forever
to send out goods).
So we hope you'll forgive us charging you
this sum and continue to offer us your loyal
custom which we appreciate so much.
